Aim:

To support Designated Safeguarding Leads/members of Safeguarding Teams in understanding their safeguarding responsibilities.

Objectives:

• To extend your knowledge of the threshold guidance, the referral and assessment process and how personnel can contribute.
• To recognise and identify indicators of abuse.
• To enable staff to make the links between risk factors, behavioural factors and possible abuse.
• To examine legislation and policy relating to Safeguarding Children.
• For participants to understand their Safeguarding Children roles and responsibilities.

Duration: 1 day

All Designated Safeguarding Leads/Teams and those new to the role welcome.

Please note: this training must be refreshed every two years.

*NEW Combined Refresher Training        

Aim/Objective:   

To refresh experienced DSL's / key safeguarding staff in new guidance and procedures since last trained.

This new training covers updates and practice in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children, 2023, statutory guidance.

It combines the previous Level 2 and Level 3 Refresher into one training session, around key themes of learning.

Duration: 11:00 am - 15:15 pm (Refreshments and a networking lunch, will be provided)

All DSL's / Safeguarding Teams who have completed a full day Level 2 and 3 with Safe Haven Consulting and require a 'refresher' welcome. 

This training covers our responsibilities to work together. It looks at the child protection process from strategy discussion through to core group/child protection plans keeping the focus on the child. All Designated Safeguarding Leads/Teams & Agencies welcome.

To mark their leaving and the 15th anniverary of Safe Haven Consulting, Jeanette & Diane are delighted to announce their final conference, 'Safeguarding - the bigger picture'.
